Recent Purchases..

Within this last month, it has been no stop havoc trying to fit everything in as it's been the last few exams, leavers day & PROM! - which I will do a post on in the next couple of days. So over the month, I've been busy buying things to help me prepare for my prom pampering build up, so lets have a little look at what I've bought/been given :)

Sorry about the lack of decent quality
Bobbi Brown 'Intensifying Long-Wear Mascara - in Black': I was given this product after my Prom makeup trial as the artist works for Bobbi Brown (and is also my friends auntie.) She gave me this product so I was able to top up my mascara throughout the evening, which I thought was lovely of her :) It works really well with my lashes and really did intensify my lashes!

Left: Bobbi Brown 'Long-Wear Finish Foundation - in Warm Beige'
Right: Bobbi Brown 'Skin Foundation - in Beige'
Again, I was given these sample foundations at my makeup trial, to be able to wear with my tan, as I had recently had a spray tan for prom and I didn't have an foundation that matched as I'm quite pale. But nonetheless, both these foundations have amazing coverage and don't give off a 'cakey' effect on your face. However, these foundations cost £30 each, when bought online/in store, which, seems a lot, if you don't usually buy high end makeup. I still highly recommend.

Left: Bobbi Brown 'Hydrating Rich Cream Cleanser'
Right: Bobbi Brown 'Buffing Grains for Face'
I was given these samples in store by my makeup artist to use before I had my spray tan to get rid of any oils and dead skin I had on my face/neck. All in all, definitely two of the best combinations of exfoliators I have ever used! And they leave my skin feeling super soft. Both of theses cost £19.99 and I highly recommend purchasing.

Soap & Glory: 'The Daily Smooth, Dry Skin Formula Body Butter'
Literally the second I smelt this I went and bought it as I adore the smell of Cocoa Butter. I use this product on my hand, elbows, knees and heels and it always leaves my skin feeling super soft. The 50ml only cost £2.50 from Boots, which I thought was a complete bargain, especially as the 250ml costs £9.

Soap & Glory: 'Scrub 'Em And Leave 'Em Body Buff' I bought this to exfoliate with & it was the best decision ever. It took off all the dead skin and left my skin feeling fresh and amazing. Again, this was around £2.50 from Boots. Highly recommend purchasing if you don't already own!

Nair Bikini & Underarm Glide-On Hair Remover: I bought this on a spontaneous moment as it was on offer in Asda and I thought I'd try it out. Long story short, it's a really good hair remover & it did basically everything it said it would on the bottle.

Apologizes on the quality again
Bourjois Paris 'Effect 3D Lipgloss in 20 - Rose Symphonic': I was told by the makeup artist that I needed a pink/natural sparkly lip gloss & to my surprise, I didn't have one! So the day before prom, I was in town looking for one and I stumbled across this one. It smells a little bit like them Frazzlers sweets, so of course I had to buy it - with my mum's money of course hahaha ;)

Batiste Dry Shampoo in 'Flory & Fruity Blush': I haven't actually used this product yet, but after reading some reviews online & hearing beauty Youtubers rave about it. I'm so excited to use it. I'll get back to you on this one.

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula: I cannot rave enough, about how much I love the smell of this! It it utterly gorgeous and works wonders on my skin. I apply this to my heels, knees and elbows after my daily shower and it always makes them feel super soft. I recommend you go buy this now if you don't already own a bottle!

Impulse 'Very Pink' Body Fragrance: Now, I didn't actually buy this. I was given it as a Christmas present last year & I've only just found the set again. It came in a set of three, which included 'Tease' & 'Into Glamour'. All three fragrances smell summery and fruity and I can't wait to wear them all throughout my summer months

So there was a little look into a few purchases/finds over the month & I hope you enjoyed reading this.. If you want a more indepth review on any of the products above or if you have any recommendations for me, just leave a little comment below :)

Until next time,

Leavers Day

Bonjour bloggers of the world,

Today I had the last couple of exams to complete, which was frustrating as today was also my last official day of compulsory key stage education, which I am actually distraught about, as I genuinely do like school and my teachers. But what sucks even more about day, is that it wasn't even our official leavers day. That was over 3 weeks ago, when we were rudely kicked out of school by our headmistress, as she was trying to avoid our march. For you of whom don't know what the tradition is, basically we meet at a single area to walk to school as a year group, on the last day to celebrate. But our bitch of a headmistress didn't want that to happen due to last years issues, so unfortunately for us, we had to suffer the consequences. However, unluckily for her, we rebelled and did the march anyways & just to piss her off, we made it 10 times worse. Payback is a bitch mwuhahaha. It still sucks though that we didn't get a proper leavers day, like every other school in the area.

Oh well, as I'm a sentimental person, I've decided to post some photos for you guys to see... yay

May Favourites

As it's now June, I thought it'd be time to let you guys know what I've been using a lot & loving this past month. So here we go, my May favourites :)

Taylor Swift 'Wonderstruck' Perfume: I recieved this as a Christmas present last year and from the second I first used it, I fell in love with it. It has such a summery smell to it and it lingers on your clothing for ages, so you're always smelling nice. I didn't use it through March or April, as I forgot I had it oops, but recently it's my go to perfume. I just love it. The bottle is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and the font is just magical.

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in '216 Pink Boom': I bought this quite recently. It is such a nice, pretty casual colour to wear on an everyday basis and possibly even a fancy event. It's really easy to apply to the nails and has a smooth finishing texture. I bought this in Superdrug for around £2.99. Wheeyhey, complete bargain. The only downside to it, is that it does chip quite easily and I did find myself having to repaint my nails every couple of days. Other than that, it's a lovely go to nail polish.

Accessorize Baked Duo Eyeshadow in '16 Freya': I also bought this quite recently and I've worn it nearly everyday that I've applied makeup. It is literally a perfect eyeshadow. It has a golden colour and a pinky gold mixed colour and both of them are so pigmented and shimmery that it lasts on your eyes for ages. If you have quite light or dark eye colours, this can really make your eyes stand out, as they have such a strong pigmentation. I love this eyeshadow so much and I usually just blend both colours together as they make a really nice duo. It was £4 which I highly recommend paying as the eyeshadow is such great quality.

Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in '16': I bought this around late March time as a treat for finishing my Drama exam (hell yeah!) and it was honestly one of the best products I have ever used in my life. The lipstick is so easy to apply as it's soft and it has such a high pigment to it. It leaves a really lovely shade of pink on your lips. The only downside I would say is that it does come off quite quickly due to activities such as talking, drinking, etc. So you do have to reapply it every couple of hours; it is a pain. It was about £5.94 but honestly, if you don't own one. Go to the shops now and buy yourself one!

And last but not least, the non beauty related items.

'Perfect Chemistry' by Simone Elkeles: I was given this 2 Christmas' ago and since then I think i've reread it at least 20 times. Simone Elkeles is a beautiful writer. Although the book in many places may seem a little clique, the storyline still remains flawless and really defines how different our lives truly are behind closed doors. If you love teen romance novels with a sense of thrill to them, I'd highly recommend this book to you. It is in my top 5 books and I'm an avid reader, so I've read A LOT of books in my lifetime.

House Of Anubis Season 3 Finale: HOA concluded season 3 this month with the best finale to a TV show I've seen in awhile. My inner fangirl was through the roof because of this finale. It was perfect. Now if any of you reading this who ship Freddie & Patricia or Joy & Jerome, you will understand how perfect these couples are. Oh my god, there aren't even words to describe how flawless this season was! I highly recommend this show if you enjoy teen thriller dramas. A complete 10/10.

So there was a little look into my May favourites and I hope you've enjoyed reading this :)
If you've seen/used any of this things mentioned above and agree with me, leave a little comment below.

My Everyday Makeup

I thought I would do a post about the makeup I currently use on a daily basis. I always get into a little routine with the same products. I'll switch it up a bit and change the colour products around like lipstick and lipgloss. I love my current lipstick, but sometime I'll just get bored and stick with a plain old cocoa butter Vaseline (which I forgot in the photo - oops) or try other lip products I own. These are the current products i'm using!

Rimmel London Scandaleyes in '001 Black'
Maxfactor Creme Puff Powder in '81 Truly Fair'

I hope you enjoyed this little look into my everyday makeup. I love looking at what people have in their makeup bags and what they use daily; I thought you'd like a little look into mine.

Until next time,
