Clothing & Things Galore!

As promised, here is a little haul from today's shopping spree

One of the first shops I went into was Primark and picked up a few lovely things.

Gryffindor Top: I picked this up for £6 and it's just a baggy cotton top with a Gryffindor graphic on the front of it.

Pepsi Jumper: I don't actually own any jumpers, it's hoodies or nothing. It's just plain white with a 'Pepsi' logo embellished on it with a fluffy inside lining to keep you nice and snug in the winter just £10.

Blue Lace Strappy Top: Just a dark-ish blue strappy top with lace trim around the top that will be lovely to go under jumpers and shirts at college in the winter.

White Jewelled Trim Top: The material of is kind of see through, but it's not so problematic you have to wear something underneath. It has flowered jewels around the neck line with chiffon material on the shoulders. It also has 2 small slits up each side of the top. Definitely worth the £8 price tag.

And finally I picked up a Black Cami Dress to wear underneath a black chiffon dress which is almost completely see through. So paying £3 for this helps me keep my dignity and lets me wear the amazing dress!

We then ventured into Lush...

Melting Marshmallow Moment: I'm not even exaggerating when I say it smells like sweets. It smells absolutely beautiful! I'm so excited to use this in my next baths.

Butterball Bath Bomb: This little ball of joy smells exactly like cocoa butter and it's so good for your skin.

Catastrophe Cosmetic Face Mask: I bought this mostly as the lady recommended this to me to help my combination skin. Mostly as the blueberries help balance out our natural oils in our skin which is good.

We finally then wandered into Boots because you can never have too much makeup.

Loreal Paris - True Match: I only own one Loreal product and due to my current Rimmel foundation making me orange, I decided to swap it up for a slightly more pricey drugstore foundation. I picked up Rose Ivory costing £9.99.

Collection Perfection Lasting Concealer: I'm pretty sure this is everyone's holy grail when it comes to concealer as it really does work! I again picked up the colour 'Fair 1'.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo: I already own one of these and I use it to absolute death so I decided to get Eternal Gold. It's such a pretty shade as well!

I also got a new Batiste Dry Shampoo as I'm running low and it was on offer! Wooo!

After weeks of procrastinating against it (more like until I got my results...) I bought Hitler by Sir Ian Kershaw I need to read this and many more before the Summer ends for my A2 History coursework. I'm so not looking forward to starting that with only 6 months to do it in. That thought terrifies me!

Once again, I'm so sorry for my lack of regular posting, but I have explained why in my last post, so check that if you want too :)
I should hopefully upload again soon in the next couple of days, so bare with me.

Until next time,

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation | Review

Everyone raves about foundation whether it's by MAC, the drugstore or any other place, one that always pops up is the 'Estee Lauder Double Wear'. Retailing at £27.50 possibly makes you think twice about picking one up.

Personally I believe it's worth such a high price tag! I invested in the shade 'Shell' purely because I'm so pale and it's almost an exact match to my skin tone, which is so hard to come by. Even though you only get 30ml in a bottle, a small amount goes a very very long way! It doesn't come with a pump, so you do have to be very careful with how much you pour out, as it can be wasted very easily.

The consistency of the foundation is so smooth and easy to apply and doesn't crease on my skin. I usually apply it with my Estee Lauder foundation brush, or a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. It leaves a flawless matte finish and really does stay in place all day long. It claims to have SPF 10 in it, I'm yet to see what it works like in the sun, so we'll have to see.

It comes in quite a few different shade depending on your overall skin and under tone as well.

A beautiful foundation. So if you're ever looking for a high end foundation and don't mind spending a bit more, I highly recommend this one. A fabulous 8.5/10!

Whats your favourite high end foundation?

What's In My Bag?

I must be the worst person when it comes to being consistent and I apologise deeply for this. I've been absent for a few weeks I know, but I blame this purely on College, it's been a literal pain my side these last couple of weeks due to Mock exams and my practical Drama exam Tuesday. But now that's over and done with, I can finally concentrate on my blog as it's the Easter Holidays next week & Study Leave a couple weeks after, hooray! Now on to the post..

Since telling mum I needed a new bag as my good, old trustworthy Kipling bag is getting kind of tatty and faded. I came home from College one day to find a package on my bed, and considering I hadn't ordered anything, I was quite sceptical about it. But upon opening it, it was one of the most gorgeous satchels I've ever seen.

So since I've now got this beautiful Coral coloured River Island Satchel, I thought I'd show you guys what I keep in my bag :)

I'm also one of these girls that also carry way too much in my bag, so it can become quite cramped, quite quickly. Even though the bag looks quite small, it's actually so spacious and I love it. The bag has poppers to open and close it, which makes it so easy to access - could also be a downside I suppose hmmm. I love how it come with a hand strap and a much longer one so it can be used as a shoulder bag or you can just hold it usually! Considering I only use the bag for when I go out with family/friends etc, it is never really completely full. For College I use a backpack!

I usually just keep my umbrella and purse, both from Jane Norman in the big pocket as it's easier to find them. My iPod charger usually comes with me on long journeys or when I go to my friends. It isn't actually an Apple charger, I got it for Christmas from Asda for £10, I'm on my third one now. Admittedly I don't take great care of it aha.

Also in the big pocket I keep a small body spray - no one likes to smell bad. A lipgloss as usually by after mid-day my lip colour has worn off and I hate having to reapply. I also keep a comb and hair scrunchie as when your hair is as long as mine, you need to brush out knots before putting it up, especially if it's been windy before hand. The last thing I usually put in the big pocket is my car key as recently I bought my very first car! I haven't passed just yet, but anytime mum says let's go driving, I usually drive.

In the smaller pocket at the front, I'll usually just keep small essentials such as Paracetamol, a pen, a compact mirror, a Baby Lips and my Revlon ColourBurst in 105. I am aware I carry way too many lip products in my bag, but a girl can never be spoilt for choice of colour.

And lastly in the front pocket I keep Vaseline - surprise surprise. A handful of hairpins for when I've styled my hair, a key chain from the local College - which I don't actually attend... A list of the days/dates I'm next working :( &  my lovely house key. I got the keychain on holiday back in 2012.

I hope you enjoyed a little snoop into what I keep in my bag, not extremely exciting I know. I just love the bag and the colour of it so so much. Let me know what you guys keep in your bags, I'm forever interested to see!

Is your bag as filled as mine!?

Everyone Loves A Beauty Buy

After many weeks of being missing in action, I can finally say I'm back! Yay! I've also managed to find a camera.. it's not mine.. it's my mum's. So I'm just going to have to be really sneaky when I use it because she doesn't know about my blog. (oops?) So without any further adieu, let's get straight in!

What's happened to my lighting!? Why is it so dark?!
My long awaited trip into town was due to my little sister wanting to go into Lush. How I love Lush *insert heart eyes emoji* My sister grabbed a 'dragons egg' bath bomb and a 'Mask of Mahogany' face mask. I'll keep the pot once she's finished with it, purely so I can take advantage of the recycling scheme they do. (Who wouldn't) I decided to purchase a 'Fizzbanger' bath bomb and I'm so ecstatic to use this as it smells like rainbows and sweet stuff mmm.

After Lush, we made our way towards Boots. Thankfully they were doing a 3 for 2 offer and who can resist one of them! Obviously not me. I ended up getting 5 things in Boots. 4 I paid for, the other mum did hehe. The first thing I picked up was a pack of 52 clear hair elastics so I could use them for hair styles such as 'fishbraids', 'halo braids' etc etc.

The next thing was a 'Lee Stafford DeHumidifier hair spray'. This was £1.99 as it's only 50ml bottle, but when I read that it keeps straight hair from hardly frizzing, I had to try it out. My hair might be naturally dead straight anyway. Doesn't mean I can't take advantage of products like this one!

The next 3 things were all part of the '3 for 2' offer. The first thing was a 'Real Techniques Blush Brush' and oh my word, it is so freaking soft! I'm actually so surprised with how soft it is! *insert heart eyes emoji* I'm beyond tempted now to run back out to the shops and buy every single Real Techniques brush within existence! But obviously for financial reasons.. I can't :(

Everyone and their dog has been raving about this lipstick in the blogging/YouTube community, which obviously led me to buying one *shame on YouTube* I purchased the L'OREAL Paris Collection Privee 'Doutzen's Nude' which is such a lovely light pink shade and it's so so sheer.

The last thing from the '3 for 2' offer was my Revlon ColorStay Lip Liner in 'Pink/Rose'/ I've only just recently started getting into lip-liners, so when I found this, I snatached it right up!

I'm sorry I didn't even have a clue on how to photograph this!
From Boots we made our way into John Lewis. Yet the first thing I ran to was the MAC counter.. but as of yet, I haven't bought anything *quietly sobs in a corner* so we headed over to the Estee Lauder stand. My mum has a friend who works there so we asked if she could colour match me. We tried two different ones till we found my shade in the 'Double Wear' collection. We first tried 'Ivory Rose' which did match my skin tone, but we decided it was more a summer shade for when my skin is naturally slightly dark. Then we eventually decided on 'Shell' as it's the lightest colour in the Double Wear collection and it felt really matte and smooth on my skin.

As we purchased this the lady threw in a 'Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara - 01 Extreme Black' as a little sample and a thank-you for purchasing. I'm still yet to use my 'Chanel' sample mascara I got for Christmas.. So I'll use them both and then do a review on both. It only seems fair to you.

Once again, I'm so sorry I've been gone for a while and haven't updated. I hope this post makes up for it until I'm back in the swing of things!

Until next time,

PUMP Fitness!

As like the majority of people, one of my New Years Resolutions is to lose weight and keep it off.  Along with my usual routine of walking half an hour everyday to the train station, eating healthy and going to the gym twice a week, I've now decided to incorporate at fitness class into my regime. Even though I do like to think of myself as a fitness enthusiast. The fitness class I've decided to join is PUMP which I attend at my local leisure centre twice a week.

For those unfamiliar with PUMP, it's basically a full body workout which uses weights for every part of your body. The routine lasts 55 minutes and includes a warm up, lunges/legs, squats, back, shoulder press, bench press, push ups, core exercises & warm downs. Of course it varies from session to session, but with the intensity of the workout, you do see significant improvements.

Tonight was my third time. I'm definitely starting to see improvements in my fitness and slightly in my strength - which is good for weaklings like me. They say it takes 4 weeks for you to notice change within your own body, so after another 2 weeks, hopefully I should start to see some toning going on with my stomach muscles and slowly starting to gain muscle, whilst losing the pounds. I honestly recommend this class to anyone who's looking for something fun and challenging to do. Whoever knew working out could be so much fun?

London - Christmas Shopping & Phantom of the Opera

I know it's been a really long time since I've last uploaded but I'm so so sorry! I've just had no motivation to write anything & quite frankly, writers block sucks. So I thought I'd tell you about my AS Drama trip to London with the College from a couple of weeks ago.

For the last couple of years the college I attend take the AS drama students to see a West End production in London towards the end of the year. They take us there for the whole day so we can go christmas shopping or go sightseeing, which shows that they actually treat us like adults.

I spent the majority of the day wandering around London and being all touristy round Big Ben & the London Eye until we found Subway.. yay food.
Then we found the cutest market area selling all Christmassy stuff & they had a Carousel! It was fab!

Somehow after the market stalls we ended up getting lost.. that part wasn't fun. But luckily we found our way back and everything was okay. YAY. Shortly after that Jess & I ditched the others to go shopping in Oxford Street. And oh my, the street is never ending and there was at least 10 Starbucks we saw! Just wow. Some people in London can be so rude though, like they just shove your around. I wasn't really expecting that to be honest.

Trafalgar Square at night is beautiful. The two fountains were lit up with pretty colours! Whilst Jess & I were stood waiting around to ask someone to take a photo of us in front of the tree, I noticed a little boy around 3 trying to climb in the fountain and his parents had their backs turned & he started leaning forward as if he was about to fall, so me & Jess literally lunged for the little boy and got him down. Luckily his parents had turned round by that point, so it was alright. Me & Jess are lifesavers.. holaaaaaa!

Eventually we joined back up with the others to go & watch Phantom of the Opera. Oh my god, it was absolutely phenomenal! I cried at the end because of the feels. Feels galore. The actor who played the phantom was unbelievable, like I was speechless at his acting in the finale, just wow. It was a beautiful production!

Once again I'm really sorry I haven't been uploading. I still don't have a camera, so bare with me for a while.

Until next time guys,

- Katie.x
